York Wedding Photography At Sandburn Hall
When I met Daniel and Mat for their engagement shoot we had a coffee and chat, it became so clear that Danielle loved photography, this always makes me so happy when my clients are so invested in their imagery. We chatted for ages about it. I was in my element!! Leading up to Danielle and Mats wedding I spoke to Danielle a lot, when the word antlers came up I was giddy as a kipper!! I love antlers and I instantly had some ideas as I knew they were getting ready in the lodges about 5 minutes from Sandburn Hall.
On the morning of their wedding, Mat was in the opposite Lodge getting ready and it was so funny to keep hearing the raucous laughter spilling over into our lodge. When I saw the dress for the first time it was truly a princess dress, embellished with so many sparkles, to match Danielle’s amazing personalty. The laughter in the lodge was in full flow, everyone was in very good spirits! I used the antlers to capture the rings and flowers, we wanted it to flow through the day as they were going to feature in the venue styling. Sunburn has a barn & lodge appearance.
I was keen to capture some different portraiture of Danielle before we left so once that amazing dress was on we snook into the forest. And yes, you guessed it- the antlers came out, I even brought along my peacock chair- it had to be done!!
Once we were ready to go we left for the hall- time or the main event!! Mat was so cute as he stood waiting for his bride, and the entrance did not disappoint, Danielle was so happy to see mat, I loved the expression on Danielle face. Full of love and joy.
After the ceremony the drinks reception was held down stairs, once the newly weds had mingled a little we went to pinch them for some portraiture. It was so much fun to be around these two, we giggled and laughed so much. Mat was so attentive and helpful toward Danielle helping her with her dress whist we wondered through the forest.
Danielle and Mat had their wedding breakfast in the main hall which looked out of this world. After the speeches finished everyone steered down stairs for more drinks. We decided to set up a champagne shot as all the bridle party were so much fun and up for doing something a little different. So all that was left to do was to shake those bottles! I love how much fun they had doing this.
The evening dancing was soon under way and the barn looked stunning yet again, it kept taking on different life as the day progressed. Mat & Danielle took to the floor for the first dance watched by all the people they loved. I loved skulking around in the barn and shooting from afar, its created some interesting imagery. Later in the evening we took the Bride & Groom outside for a coupe of night time shots, this was set ready and good to go. Defiantly more laughter- was safe to say the tipsy couple were having the time of their lives! Its amazing to see a couple so close and in tune to each other. They never left each others side all day. It was an awesome wedding.
I am so lucky to have such amazing clients, I wish Danielle & Mat a lifetime of happiness.
