Bella The Pug!!
Carlton Towers Wedding Photography
Zoe and Alex are really one of the most laid back couples I've ever really worked with, they are so content in each others company. On the engagement shoot we met in a lovely country park, they brought Bella. View their engagement shoot here. Bella the cutest black pug! It was clear to see that Bella was like their little baby, she was adored and so funny. When Zoe mentioned that Bella may not be able to attend the wedding due to her having an operation, Zoe was heartbroken, however I soon learnt that Bella was going to make a very sneaky appearance, very cleverly crafted by Alex and Zoe's hens - I love it when couples have their pooches at their wedding.
On the morning of the wedding when we arrived it was a lovely calm room, in stunning converted stables beside the main house of their venue. Zoe’s bridesmaid Emma, who came on the pre-shoot to help out with Bella, was fantastic - organising everything and making sure Zoe needed or wanted for nothing. She was adorable. All the getting ready and preparations were under way.
Zoe and Alex were getting married in the abbey at Selby, around a 15 minutes drive from their stunning venue Carlton Towers. It all went so smoothly and soon we were on our way to the abbey. Zoe looked radiant and so happy as she stepped out of the lovely vintage car. Once inside the abbey all Zoe's bridesmaids were so attentive - there was plenty of dress fluffing! Emma was sneakily waiting to fetch in Bella, the look on Zoe's face was amazing and I got goose pimples all over, she was blown away with emotion.
Then Zoe, her Bella and bridesmaids walked down the amazing long isle of the abbey. Her Alex was stood waiting so calmly. The look of awe on his face and emotion in his eyes was so sweet. Once the ceremony was over Bella lead the way from the abbey and all the congratulations started flying about along with all the confetti! Back to the house which look insane, so Stunning. We snook off for a few minutes for some portraiture, it was lovely for Alex & Zoe to have a few minutes together. With the wedding being in December obviously the light went early, however we went out after dark and created some epic night time shots. The cold air certainly hit us, although it was so refreshing and the guys were a little tipsy so we had fun and giggles all the way!
I wish you lots of amazing years together, your wedding warmed my soul!
Here are some of my favourites.
